In order to answer this, you need to decide how many different types of services you will be providing. Tanning parties and the number allowed per party, wedding parties, prom and special events, couples, and singles. Tanning parties are very popular because they allow for clients to have discounts and is more enjoyable. They also help boost sells in singles and couples. For tanning parties you will be needing a spray gun to allow for faster tanning and another must have item will be the pop up tent or booth. Spray tan filters are also a good option for such high volume tan sections.

Should I go with Airbrush Tan Equipment or HVLP Turbine Tan Equipment?

This is an option you will need to consider at which would better suite your use. Airbrush equipment has available the spray gun and the handheld airbrushes. Spray guns speed up the tanning process and the smaller airbrush help define the tan around the face, hands, and feet. Also Turbine Tan air machines can run louder than airbrush compressors. If you are looking to service many clients with your mobile business you really need to look into a quiet turbine air machine. They can be more costly but it is well worth the cost.

The best thing about opening a mobile tanning business is that you can purchase less costly tanning systems and later upgrade to a more professional tan system. Getting started takes time and sometimes people just find that in the end its not for them. The best option is to start small and work your way up. Even with a less costly system you will still need to look at equipment that runs around $300 to $600 dollars and make sure you have a least a two year warranty. Upgrading in the future is also good if you do many tanning parties because often times, tan technicians will have someone to help and so two sets of equipment do come in handy.

The turbine tanning system should say if it is a quiet unit or else it is not.

Airbrush tan spray guns and the handheld airbrushes are more adjustable. They have small levers on the airbrush to slow down or speed up the tan mist sprayed. This allows for more control over the tanning process.

What about warranties?

A tanning systems warranty should also be considered into your price. Warranties can last 1, 2, and 5 years. Some equipment even offer lifetime labor warranties of there equipment. That doesn't mean your equipment will not last longer. Must spray tanning equipment last five to ten years if taken care of.
